Bar Coded Slate for Unrivalled Quality Control

Cupa is committed to offering the best product and service in the marketplace. With this in mind, the company regularly conducts research amongst key customers such as architects and builders in order to better meet their needs. As part of this ongoing process it became apparent that whilst slate was a highly desirable roofing material, traceability might become an issue. The challenge: How to ensure matching slate if additional quantities of the product are needed.

The answer – improved traceability. Each crate of Cupa Natural Slate carries a unique barcode, which holds all the information an end user might need to know about the origin of the slate, the slate type, its dimensions and test results. It also provides information about where and when the slate was processed and who worked on that particular batch. The code is never repeated, ensuring clear and reliable identification of the crate from quarry to installation – allowing superior traceability and future matching.
